More Mountains to be opened during Everest Diamond Jubilee Year 2013.


Minister for Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation, says to prioritize tourism development in Western Nepal.
Nepal Mountaineering Association recently organized a program to celebrate the 39th Anniversary of NMA. On the occasion the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Post Bahadur Bogati, said the new mountains in the Western Nepal, for mountaineering and trekking will be opened.
He also said Nepal is the paradise for Mountaineering throughout the world and hence Diamond Jubilee will be celebrated next year in 2013 to mark the 60th year of first successful climb over Everest by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary back in 1953.
It was informed that works on opening a Mountain Training school in Lantang has also been forwarded.
