It served as a pilot for the Sabrina The Teenage Witch TV series, and premiered on Showtime on April 7, 1996. The only two actors who appeared in both the pilot, and eventual television series, were Melissa Joan Hart and Michelle Beaudoin, though Hart's character had a different surname, and Beaudoin's character had a name change in the series.
